Study Hall

Privacy

Study Hall is a free study site. It doesn’t need an account, and it doesn’t sell or share anything about you.

Without signing in

Your progress (lessons read, best quiz scores, flashcard reviews, your study streak and daily goal, the courses you picked and any test dates you added) and your settings (theme, grade filter, the tutor’s “save my questions” choice, and your Opportunities grade, interests and stars) are saved only in this browser. Nothing about it is sent to us. Clearing your browser’s site data deletes it.

If you sign in with Google

Signing in is optional. It only exists to carry your progress between devices. When you sign in, Google tells Study Hall your account ID, name, email address and profile picture.

Deleting your data

Open the account menu (your picture or initial at the top of the page) and choose “Delete synced progress and sign out”. That removes everything stored on the server for your account. To remove the copy on a device, clear the site data for Study Hall in that browser.

Feedback

If you send feedback, what you write is kept so the site’s owner can read it, along with the page it was about and your email if you chose to leave one (used only to reply). To keep people from flooding the form, a scrambled form of your IP address is kept for one hour.

Other services

The site uses Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page visits without cookies and without identifying you. When you ask the AI tutor a question, your question and any file you attach are sent to Google’s Gemini model to produce the answer. Unless you untick “save” under the chat box, the question, attachments and answer are also kept privately so the site’s owner can check answer quality. They are not linked to your Google account, and an API key you paste into the tutor is never saved.

Some lessons include YouTube videos. Until you press play, only the video’s preview image is loaded from YouTube’s image server, without cookies. Pressing play loads YouTube’s player in its privacy-enhanced mode, and YouTube’s own privacy policy applies from then on. Lesson photos are stored on this site, so viewing them contacts no one else.
